The invention provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising TGF-.beta. superfamily members and sugars, the compositions allowing improved recovery and/or increased biological activity of the TGF- .beta. superfamily member incorporated therein. The invention also relates to uses of sugars to improve the recovery or increase the biological activity of TGF-.beta. superfamily members in a pharmaceutical composition. Uses of the pharmaceutical compositions are also described, particularly with reference to wound healing and fibrosis. Furthermore, the invention discloses medicaments for the prevention or reduction of injection pain.
L'invention concerne des compositions pharmaceutiques renfermant des membres de la superfamille TGF-.beta. ainsi que des sucres, les compositions permettant une récupération améliorée et/ou une activité biologique accrue de l'élément de la superfamille TGF-.beta. qu'elles contiennent. L'invention concerne également les utilisations de sucres pour améliorer la récupération ou l'augmentation de l'activité biologique de membres de la superfamille TGF-.beta. dans une composition pharmaceutique. L'invention concerne également les utilisations des compositions pharmaceutiques en particulier en ce qui concerne la cicatrisation des lésions et la fibrose. De plus, l'invention concerne des médicaments de prévention ou de réduction de la douleur due à des injections.
