An amlodipine maleate pharmaceutical composition is provided with good stability when formulated with a pH within the range of 5.5 to 7, when measured as a 20 wt% aqueous slurry. The stability can also be aided by making the pharmaceutical composition from amlodipine maleate particles having an average particle size of greater than 20 microns, preferably greater than 100 microns.

L'invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique de maléate d'amlodipine présentant une bonne stabilité lorsqu'elle est formulée avec un pH de 5,5 à 7, mesurée en tant que suspension aqueuse à 20 % en poids. La stabilité de la composition pharmaceutique selon l'invention peut par ailleurs être améliorée par fabrication de ladite composition à partir de particules de maléate d'amlodipine présentant une granulométrie moyenne supérieure à 20 microns, de préférence supérieure à 100 microns.
