The invention relates to the field of immunology, more specifically, to immunogenic compositions containing peptides, polypeptides, proteins, their corresponding DNA sequences, cells or their lysates and very small size proteoliposomes (VSSP), the latter being formed by bonding the outer membrane protein complex (CPME) of Neisseria meningitidis with gangliosides by means of hydrophobic bonds. In particular, the invention shows how to prepare said immunostimulating compositions which are capable of generating antigen- specific immune responses even in immuno-compromised hosts such as those suffering from cancer and chronic viral or bacterial infections. By administering the vaccine compositions disclosed in the invention to these patients, it is possible to restore the functionality of sectors of their immune system. The vaccine compositions disclosed in the invention can be used to protect against or treat infectious, malignant and autoimmune diseases.
La présente invention concerne l'immunologie et plus précisément des compositions immunogènes contenant des peptides, des polypeptides, des protéines, leurs séquences d'ADN correspondantes, des cellules et leurs cellules lysées et protéoliposomes de très petite taille (VSSP), ces derniers étant formés lors de l'union du complexe protéiné de la membrane externe (CPME) de Neisseria meningitidis avec des gangliosides, moyennant des liaisons hydrophobes. La présente invention concerne en particulier un procédé destiné à la préparation de compositions immunostimulantes permettant de générer des réponses immunes spécifiques aux antigènes, y compris chez des hôtes immunocompromis, tels que ceux souffrant du cancer et d'infections chroniques d'origine virale ou bactérienne. Chez ces patients, l'administration de ces compositions vaccinales décrites permet de rétablir la fonctionnalité de certains secteurs de leur système immunitaire. Les compositions vaccinales de la présente invention peuvent être utilisées pour prévenir ou traiter des pathologies infectieuses, malignes ou autoimmunes.
