The present invention provides a method of treating angina, e.g. stable angina, unstable angina and variant angina, and/or an anginal equivalent comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a multiplicity of liposomes, and preferably, large liposomes comprised of phospholipids substantially free of sterol to a subject for a treatment period. The method also includes administering an effective amount of an anti-anginal drug other than the liposomes. The invention also provides a method of treating claudication comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of liposomes. In yet another variant, the invention provides a method of perioperative and/or pre-operative conditioning of a subject comprising administering liposomes. Several other inventions are also described herein.
La présente invention concerne une méthode de traitement de l'angine (angor stable, angor instable ou angor spastique, par exemple) et/ou d'équivalents angineux. La méthode consiste à administrer à un sujet, pendant une période de traitement, une quantité thérapeutique effective de plusieurs liposomes et, de préférence, de grands liposomes constitués de phospholipides sensiblement exempts de stérol. La méthode consiste aussi à administrer une quantité effective d'un médicament antiangoreux autre que les liposomes. L'invention concerne en outre une méthode de traitement de la claudication, qui consiste à administrer une quantité thérapeutique effective de liposomes. Dans une autre forme de réalisation, on décrit une méthode de conditionnement péri-opératif et/ou pré-opératif d'un sujet, qui consiste à administrer à ce dernier des liposomes. Plusieurs autres méthodes de l'invention sont également décrites.
