B254 Abstract of the Disclosure Provided by the invention is a pharmaceutical pre- paration comprising a solution of digoxin in a soluble capsule shell together with a method of preparing such a preparation which comprises marginally welding two sheets of the material comprising the capsule shell together around a unit dose of the solution of digoxin comprising the content of the capsule. In one aspect the digoxin is present in the preparation in an amount of 80% of that conventionally presented as a tablet formulation. Also provided is a method for the treatment of cardiac insufficiency in a mammal including man which comprises the administration to the mammal of a pharmaceutical preparation as above described containing an effective cardiac insufficiency treatment amount of digoxin.
