ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This specification discloses medical tablets for peroral administration which are adapted to bring difficultly soluble active substances very rapidly into solution, whereby a substantially heightened biological availability is attained in contrast to known, customary tablet formulations. The invention also relates to a process for the manufacture of such tablets. A heightened biological availability is of great significance, particularly with difficultly soluble highly active medicines, since they open the possibility of reducing the daily medicinal requirement (maintenance dosage). The disclosed tablet has strongly accelerated liberation of difficultly soluble substances in the gastrointestinal tract after peroral application, which is characterized in that it contains the active substances deposited in finely divided form on a micro-dispersed, amorphous, porous silicic acid with a primary particle size of 1 to 15 µm, a BET surface to 350 to 450 m2/g and a pore volume of 1.4 to 1.7 ml/g.
