The present invention relates to the use of 1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]octanes, capable of transferring wild type p53 from an inactive and non-functional conformation into an active conformation, for the preparation of a pharmaceutical compositions for use in treating medical compositions wherein wt p53 exists in an inactive state defined herein, especially malignant melanoma and conditions involving undesired angiogenesis. The inven-tion also relates to methods of in vivo and in vitro testing of compounds for the above- mentioned ability, wherein inactive wt p53 is monitored or detected.
La présente invention se rapporte à l'utilisation de 1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]octanes se prêtant au transfert de p53 de type sauvage à partir d'une configuration inactivée non fonctionnelle dans une configuration active en vue de la préparation de compositions pharmaceutiques que l'on utilise dans le traitement de compositions médicales, wt p53 existant à l'état inactif défini comme ci-dessus, notamment un mélanome malin et des pathologies impliquant l'angiogenèse non désirée. L'invention se rapporte également à des procédés d'essai in vivo et in vitro de composés pour détecter la capacité précitée, le wt p53 étant surveillé ou détecté.
