ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pharmaceutical vehicle comprising (a) a fatty acid glyceride having a melting point higher than 37°C., (b) a water-soluble, low viscosity and non-irritant organic substance having a particle size smaller than 28 mesh and a viscosity lower than 300 cps as measured with respect to a 2% aqueous solution, (c) an organic polymeric substance having a particle size smaller than 28 mesh, which is capable of being swollen on contact with water, and (d) a water-soluble surface active agent.
