The present invention is related to sulfonamide derivatives of for-mula (I) notably for use as pharmaceu-tically active compounds, as well as to pharmaceutical formulations containing such sulfonamide derivatives. Said sul-fonamide derivatives are efficient modulators of the JNK pathway, they are in particular efficient and selective inhibitors of JNK 2 and 3. The present invention is furthermore related to novel sulfonamide derivatives as well as to methods of their preparation. The compounds of formula (I) according to the present invention being suitable pharmaceutical agents are those wherein Ar1 and Ar2 are independently from each other substituted or unsubstituted aryl or heteroaryl groups, X is O or S, preferably O; R1 is hydrogen or a C1-C6-alkyl group, or R1 forms a substituted or unsubstituted 5-6-membered saturated or unsaturated ring with Ar1; n is an integer from 0 to 5, preferably between 1-3 and most preferred 1; Y within formula (I) is an unsubstituted or a substituted 4-12-membered saturated cyclic or bicyclic alkyl containing at least one nitrogen atom, whereby one nitrogen atom within said ring is forming a bond with the sulfonyl group of formula (I) thus providing a sulfonamide.

L'invention concerne des dérivés sulfonamides correspondant à la formule (I), utiles notamment en tant que composés actifs sur le plan pharmacologique; elle concerne également des formulations pharmaceutiques contenant de tels dérivés. Ces dérivés sulfonamides constituent des modulateurs efficaces du mécanisme d'action de JNK et ils constituent notamment des inhibiteurs efficaces et sélectifs de JNK2 et 3. L'invention concerne en outre des nouveaux dérivés sulfonamides de même que les procédés de préparation de ceux-ci. Les composés de l'invention, correspondant à la formule (I) et appropriés en tant qu'agents pharmacologiques, sont ceux dans lesquels Ar?1¿ et Ar?2¿ représentent indépendamment l'un de l'autre des groupes aryle ou hétéroaryle, substitués ou non, X représente O ou S, de préférence O, R?1¿ représente hydrogène ou un groupe alkyle C¿1?-C¿6?, ou bien R?1¿ forme un noyau saturé ou insaturé, substitué ou non, à 5 ou 6 chaînons avec Ar?1¿; n représente un nombre entier compris entre 0 et 5, de préférence entre 1 et 3, et idéalement 1, Y représente dans la formule (I) un alkyle cyclique ou bicyclique, saturé, comprenant 4 à 12 chaînons, substitué, ou non substitué, et contenant au moins un atome d'azote, lequel atome d'azote forme dans ce noyau une liaison avec le groupe sulfonyle de la formule (I), produisant ainsi un sulfonamide.
