ABSTRACT Aminoalkanol derivatives of formula Image (I) (wherein R1 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, R2 represents a hydrogen or fluorine atom, and A represents an alkylene group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms) are useful as minor tranquilizers. They can be prepared by reacting the corresponding 2-amino-.alpha.-phenyl- benzylideneaminoalkanol derivative with an aminocarboxylic acid or reactive derivative thereof.
