A variable phase shifter is provided. The variable phase shifter includes sine and cosine components and first and second active devices. The second active devices are connected to the first active device, and are activated by the outputs of the sine and cosine components. A phase control signal is applied to the first active device for controlling bias of the first active device and ratio of combined outputs of the sine and cosine components. A frequency doubter may be provided to the output of the variable phase shifter to double phase range of the variable phase shifter.
