ABSTRACT "NEW PHENOL ESTER MIXTURES" A substantially 1:1 molar ratio mixture of the known herbicides bromoxynil n-octanoate and bromoxynil n-heptanoate is provided which possesses an unexpectedly low melting point and high solubility in hydrocarbon oils. Herbicidal compositions comprising bromoxynil n-octanoate and bromoxynil n-heptanoate in a substantially 1:1 molar ratio and a method for controlling the growth of weeds with such herbicidal compositions are also provided.
