A B S T R A C T The invention provides novel phenol ethers of the formula: Image (I) in which p is an integer from 2 to 5. q is an integer from 1 to 4, m is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, n is 0 or 1, with the condition that if m is 0, n is also 0, X is oxygen, sulphur, or SO2 and R is branched alkyl of 3 or 4 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of 3 or 4 carbon atoms, branched cyanoalkyl of 3 or 4 carbon atoms, phenyalkyl in which the phenyl is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen or alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and the alkyl is branched or unbranched and has 2 to 4 carbon atoms, or acylaminoalkyl in which the acyl has 1 to 4 carbon atoms and the alkyl is branched or unbranched and has 1 to 4 carbon atoms, in their racemic and optically active forms, and their addition salts with pharmaceutically acceptable acids.
