ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Phenolphthalein-dihydroxy aromatic compound polycarbonates are disclosed wherein the mole ratio of phenolphthalein to dihydroxy aromatic compound is in the range from 0.05 to 0.7 and the molecular weight is from 25,000 to 60,000. These copolymers exhibit improved impact strength, heat resistance, creep resistance, tensile strength at high temperatures and stress crack resistance.
