ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a new class of amino- alkoxyphenoxyalkenones of the formula: Image (I) wherein R1 and R2 each represents alkyl or monocarbocyclic aryl, Alk represents alkylene or hydroxyalkylene, and -NR3R4 represents substituted or unsubstituted amino, N,N-alkylene- imino, N,N-oxo-alkyleneinimo, N,N-thio-alkyleneimino, or N,N- azaalkyleneimino, and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, and processes for their production. The compounds (I) possess interesting pharmacological properties, according to their substituents, such as local anaesthetic action, anti- arrhythmic action, action on the central nervous system action on the adrenergic receptors hypotensive action, and (in some cases action inhibiting the aggregation of platelets.
