Abstract of the Disclosure The invention provides novel phenoxyphenylthiolactic acid derivatives of the formula I Image wherein B can be the carboxyl group, the salt or ester function thereof, the thiocarbonyl group, the salt or ester function thereof, or an amide radical. These derivatives have herbicidal and plant growth-regu- lating action and can be used in agriculture when formulated to appropriate composition.
