Compositions of tannate salts of phenylephrine, pyrilamine, and dextromethorphan produced by a method that allows for the in-situ conversion and incorporation of the tannate salts in a single dosage form. The conversion process includes dissolving salts of phenylephrine, pyrilamine, and dextromethorphan in a solvent and mixing with a dispersing agent and tannic acid to generate tannate salts. The tannate salts may be further processed without further purification or isolation to single dosage forms, such as tablets and suspension.
L'invention concerne des compositions de sels de tannate de phényléphrine, pyrilamine, et dextrométhorphane, obtenues selon un procédé permettant de convertir et d'incorporer in-situ des sels de tannate sous une forme de dosage unique. Le procedé de conversion consiste à dissoudre les sels de phényléphrine, pyrilamine, et dextrométhorphane dans un solvant, puis à les mélanger avec un agent de dispersion et de l'acide tannique afin d'obtenir des sels de tannate. Les sels de tannate peuvent ensuite être traités sans être purifiés ou isolés sous forme de dosage unique, par exemple en comprimés et en suspension.
