ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: N-Phenyl-N'-methyl-N'-methoxyurea derivatives of the formula: Image where R denotes branched alkyl of 4 or 5 carbon atoms, have a very good herbicidal action on unwanted monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous (grassy and broadleaved) plants, including Gallium aparine, and are excellently tolerated by cereals, especially winter cereals (rye, wheat, barley), upon both preemergence and postemergence application.
