PHONOGRAPH PICK-UP ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A phonograph pick-up using piezoelectric electricity generating elements as converting elements for converting mechanical oscillation into electricity. Mechanical oscillations are obtained by a stylus provided on a cantilever as the stylus traces a sound groove of a disk record. The mechanical oscillations are transmitted through the cantilever and a drive piece to the electricity generating elements. The mechanical oscillations are converted into corresponding electric signals by the electricity generating elements. Each electricity generating element is held in contact at one end with the outer periphery of the drive piece which is mounted on the cantilever, thereby reducing crosstalk and permitting improvements of relationship between mechanical impedance and output voltage of the phonograph pick-up.
