The invention concerns phosphinic pseudopeptides of formula (I) wherein: R?1¿ is a group blocking an amine function, or a residue of amino acid or of a peptide with blocked amino end; R?2¿ represents the side-chain of a natural or non-natural amino acid; R?3¿ represents: 1) the side-chain of a natural amino acid except Gly and Ala, non-substituted or substituted by an aryl group: 2) an aralkyl group; or 3) an alkyl group of at least 3 carbon atoms; and R?4¿ represents a side-chain of a natural or non-natural amino acid. Said pseudopeptides are useful as inhibitors of zinc matrix metalloproteases, in particular for cancer treatment.

L'invention concerne des pseudo-peptides phosphiniques de formule (I) dans laquelle R1 est un groupe bloquant une fonction amine, ou un résidu d'aminoacide ou de peptide à fonction amino terminale bloquée, R2 représente la chaîne latérale d'un acide aminé naturel ou non naturel, R3 représente: 1) la chaîne latérale d'un acide aminé naturel sauf Gly et Ala, non substituée ou substituée par un groupe aryle, 2) un groupe aralkyle, ou 3) un groupe alkyle d'au moins 3 atomes de carbone, et R4 représente une chaîne latérale d'acide aminé naturel ou non naturel. Ils sont utiles comme inhibiteurs de métalloprotéases à zinc matricielles, en particulier pour le traitement du cancer.
