ABSTRACT PHOSPHOLENE OXIDES A fully-conjugated diene or triene is reacted with a phosphorus trihalide to form a reaction intermediate. The reaction intermediate is then labilised with a solvent and reacted with a nucleophile to form the phospholene oxide.
