A phosphor thin film is provided treat has a high luminance, a satisfactory color purity sufficient to eliminate a need for filters, and a lone luminance life. The phosphor thin film can be adapted to suit each element of red, green and blue in full color electroluminescent (EL) panels. The phosphor thin film includes a matrix material and a luminescent center. The matrix material is an oxysulfide containing at least an alkaline earth element, Ga and/or In, and optionally A1, in addition to sulfur and oxygen.
L'invention concerne une couche mince luminophore offrant une luminance élevée, diffusant au moyen d'un filtre à cause de l'excellente pureté chromatique, offrant une longue durée de luminescence, et convenant notamment à des éléments RVB d'un panneau électroluminescent tout en couleur. La couche mince luminophore contient un matériau hôte et des centres luminogènes. Le matériau hôte est un oxysulfure renfermant au moins un élément alcalino-terreux, Ga et/ou In, et du soufre (S) et pouvant, en outre, contenir de l'Al. Ou un oxysulfure renfermant les éléments ci-dessus ainsi que de l'oxygène (O). Le rapport atomique B/A du matériau hôte est le suivant: B/A = 2,1 à 3,5, A représentant des éléments alcalino-terreux et B représentant Ga, In et Al.
