ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A transfer printing medium of the photo-and-thermo-sensitive type. A photo-and-thermo-sensitive film is coated on a heat-resistant substrate. The film is comprised of porous microcapsules which contain coloring material and which is thermo-sensitive to release the coloring material, a resin photo-sensitive to undergo photo-polymerization to control transfer rate of the released coloring material, an initiator effective to initiate the photo-polymerization, and a binder in which the microcapsules, the resin and the initiator are distributed to support them.
