Occurrence of a powder dust explosion is prevented in a photocatalyst coating method of forming a titania layer by injection of titanium powder. Powder of titanium or titanium alloy is injected on a surface of a product to be treated composed of metallic product, ceramic, or mixture thereof, with compressed gas having inert gas as a principal component containing oxygen from 0 to 15% by mass, and the titanium in the powder of titanium or titanium alloy is diffused and oxidized on the surface of the product to be treated to form a titania layer.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'application de revêtement photocatalytique destiné à former un film de revêtement d'oxyde de titane par pulvérisation d'une poudre de titane, et permettant de prévenir une explosion de poussières. Un film de revêtement d'oxyde de titane est formé sur la surface d'un article à traiter constitué d'un métal, d'une céramique ou d'un mélange de ces constituants par application par pulvérisation d'une poudre composée de titane ou d'un alliage de titane sur la surface au moyen d'un gaz comprimé contenant essentiellement un gaz inerte renfermant entre 0 et 15 % en masse d'oxygène, et par diffusion et oxydation du titane dans la poudre sur la surface de l'article.
