CONTROLLED MORPHOLOGY PHOTORECEPTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of making a photoconductive layer which comprises providing a heterogeneous copolymer which includes a matrix phase (I) (preferably 50 percent or less) and a dispersion phase (II) (preferably 50 percent or more); adding to a liquid which is a nonsolvent for the dispersion phase and a solvent for the continuous phase; adding finely divided photoconductive particles to said liquid such that they are dispersed in said continuous phase, and coating said solution onto a supporting substrate and allowing said coating to dry to form a photoconductive layer having a morphology characterized by a major portion of a dispersed material suspended in a substantially continuous photoconductive or electrically active phase.
