Abstract of the Disclosure A photoconductive polymer, and photoconductive insulating compositions and elements containing the same, are disclosed. The aforementioned polymer is a condensation product of a photoconductive insulating composition compris- ing a co??ensation polymer of (a) a tertiary amine having the formula: Image and (b) a carbonyl-containing compound having the formula: Image wherein R1 represents a member selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, an alkyl group or an aryl group; R represents an alkyl or aryl group; R2 and R3 each represents hydrogen or, when taken together R2 and R3 represent a carbazole nucleus; R4 represents a member selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group; R7 and R8 each represent a member selected from the group consisting of hydrogen or substituted and unsub- stituted alkyl and aryl groups.
