A photo-curable composition comprising (a) an elastomeric component containing one or more novel, unsaturated, high molecular weight, endgroup-modified polymers; (b) a photopolymerization initiating system; optionally (c) one or more cross-linking agents; and optionally (d) other additives. Photo-curable compositions of the present invention exhibit faster cross-linking (that is, curing) rates (that is, lower minimum exposure times) than similar compositions containing no endgroup-modified polymers. Cured compositions of the present invention exhibit lower solvent swell, and similar or increased softness (that is, lower hardness as measured by Shore A hardness) when compared to cured compositions containing no unsaturated, high molecular weight, endgroup-modified polymers.
L'invention concerne une composition élastomérique photodurcissable qui comprend a) un élément élastomère contenant un ou plusieurs nouveaux polymères insaturés, de poids moléculaire élevé, modifiés par un groupe terminal; b) un système d'amorce de photopolymérisation; c) éventuellement un ou plusieurs agents de réticulation; et d) éventuellement d'autres additifs. Les compositions photodurcissables de l'invention présentent des vitesses de vulcanisation (c'est-à-dire de durcissement) plus rapides (c'est-à-dire des temps d'exposition minimaux inférieurs) que celles de compositions similaires ne contenant pas de polymères modifiés par un groupe terminal. Les compositions réticulées de l'invention présentent un gonflement par solvant inférieur et une mollesse similaire ou accrue (c'est-à-dire une dureté inférieure telle que mesurée par l'essai de dureté Shore "A") par comparaison avec des compositions polymérisées ne contenant pas de polymères insaturés de poids moléculaire élevé modifiés par un groupe terminal.
