ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A photocurable electroconductive coating composition adapted to be crosslinked and insolubilized by actinic radiation comprises an acrylic monomer, a photoactivatable free radical polymerization initiator and a salt of a copolymerizable organic compound, wherein at least one of the monomers contains more than one polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group. The cured coatings are insoluble in aqueous and organic solvents and are conductors of electricity suitable for conductive underlayers of photoconductive imaging elements and as antistatic coatings.
