The invention relates to a device for detecting electromagnetic radiation, characterised in that it has i) a photoactive layer consisting of a semiconductor with a band gap of over 2.5 eV, ii) a dye which is applied to the semiconductor and iii) a charge transfer layer containing a hole conductor material, said hole conductor material being preferably solid and amorphous.
