The invention relates to a reaction cell for the photoelectrochemical production of hydrogen gas, comprising a housing (1) which is filled with an aqueous electrolyte (3), a pair of electrodes consisting of a first electrode (4) of a doped semiconductor which is immersed in the electrolytes (3) and a second electrode (5) which is made of metal and which is immersed in the electrolytes (3) and which is connected in an electrically conductive manner to the first electrode (4), also comprising a light source (L) which illuminates the pair of electrodes. The reaction cell is characterized in that the electrodes (4, 5) are connected to each other in a flat manner, the pair of electrodes divides the reaction cell into two chambers (A, B), these chambers (A, B) being connected to each other in a liquid-conducting manner, and the housing (1) is provided with at least one gas outlet (1a, 1b)

L'invention concerne une cellule de réaction destiné à la production photoélectrochimique de gaz hydrogène et comprenant un boîtier (1, 15) rempli d'un électrolyte aqueux (3), une paire d'électrodes comportant une première électrode (4, 17) d'un semi-conducteur dopé plongée dans l'électrolyte (3) et d'une deuxième électrode (5, 18) en métal plongée dans l'électrolyte (3) et liée de manière électroconductrice avec la première électrode (4, 17), et une source lumineuse (L) éclairant la paire d'électrodes. La cellule de réaction est caractérisée en ce que les électrodes (4, 17, 5, 18) sont en contact surfacique de telle façon que la paire d'électrodes divise la cellule de réaction en deux compartiments (A, G, B, H), ces compartiments (A, G, B, H) étant reliés en communication fluidique et le boîtier (1, 15) présentant au moins un orifice de sortie de gaz (1a, 15a, 1b, 15b).
