ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A photoflash lamp has a pair of lead-in wires arranged within the lamp envelope so that one wire extends laterally above the other. The size and material of the upper wire are such that the upper wire deforms in response to heat of the flashing lamp and makes contact with the lower wire.
