An improved self-supporting frame for holding and displaying a photograph and like planar member said frame comprising a rectangularly-shaped planar body having a front face; an upper edge; a substantially horizontal lower edge having a lower lip perpendicularly outstanding from said front face; a pair of substantially-vertically aligned opposing sides between said upper and lower edges; a base integrally formed with said lower edge; each of said sides and said lower edge comprise retaining means, which define there between a planar member recess adapted to receive said planar member adjacent said front face, the improvement comprising each of said side retaining means comprising an integrally-formed U-shaped channel member extending the length of said side to define a pair of full-length opposing, open-ended planar member received and retaining channels.
