ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to and discloses a novel photographic material which comprises a support having on one surface thereof, at least one light-sensitive emulsion layer, and the other surface of the support having a back surface layer thereon. The back surface layer comprises as a film forming binder, a cellulose ester or a polyester of terephthalic acid or isophthalic acid and at least one polyalkylene glycol, and 1 to 300% by weight (based on the weight of the binder) of an organic fluoro-compound of the formula (Cf) - (Y)n where (Cf) represents a n-valent group containing at least three fluorine atoms and at least three carbon atoms, and Y is selected from the group consisting of -COOM, -SO3M, -O-SO3M, Image , -COO Image , Image , Image , Image Image , Image , Image Image and Image tract of the Disclosure continued: wherein M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom, an alkaline earth metal atom, a quaternary ammonium group, a hydrocarbon group containing 1 to 18 carbon atoms or a fluoro- carbon residue; (AO) represents a polyalkylene oxide group having a degree of polymerization of 2 to 100 selected from the group consisting of polyoxyethylene, polyoxypropylene, and a polyoxyethylene- polyoxypropylene block copolymer; R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group containing 1 to 18 carbon atoms or an aryl group; R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 each represents an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a hydroxyalkyl group; X represents a halogen atom or an R-O-SO2-O- group where R is as defined above; Z represents the atoms necessary to complete a five- or six-membered ring; and D represents an alkylene group containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and n represents an integer of 1 to 2. The adhesion tendency of the back surface of the material to othe surfaces is remarkably reduced by the presence of the organic fluoro-compound on the back surface yet the photographic properties of the material are not impaired.
