Abstract of the disclosure In this photometer head, at least one pair of light transmitters and light receivers is arranged in a block of material. The block of material has in the area of the surfaces of the optical wave guides a recess which is covered with a plate. The plate is provided with a hole through which an applicator can be guided into the gap between the surfaces. The block of material also has connections for supplying the transmitting energy and removing the received energy.
