A compound for use as a photosensitiser in PDT or in the diagnosis or detection of medical conditions, the compound having the formula (I) where Phot is a photosensitising chromorphic system, X is a linear or branched alkyl having from 0 to 5 carbon atoms, which optionally may be substituted by one or more hydrophilic groups, Y is hydrogen or linear or branched alkyl having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, which optionally may be substituted by one or more hydroxy groups and n is an integer of from 1 to 4, or a salt thereof. Compounds of formula (I) other than tetrasulphonylaminoglycine zinc (II) phthalocyanine are new compounds.

Cette invention concerne un composé, ou un sel de ce composé, utilisé comme agent photosensibilisant en thérapie photodynamique, pour le diagnostic ou la détection d'états pathologiques, qui est représenté par la formule (I). Dans cette formule, Phot est un système chromophore, X est un alkyle linéaire ou ramifié comptant de 0 à 5 atomes de carbone pouvant être éventuellement substitué par un ou plusieurs groupes hydrophiles, Y est hydrogène ou alkyle linéaire ou ramifié comptant de 1 à 5 atomes de carbone pouvant être éventuellement substitué par un ou plusieurs groupes hydroxy et n est un entier entre 1 et 4. Les composés représentés par la formule (I) autre la tétrasulphonylaminoglycine zinc (II) phthalocyanine sont nouveaux.
