Abstract of the Disclosure A photosensitive recording material comprising a substrate; a photosensitive layer comprising a diazonium salt polycondensation product, a compound polymerizable by free radicals, a photoinitiator and a polymer binder; and a topcoat which contains a water-soluble polymer which has low permeability for atmospheric oxygen and a water- soluble hydrogen phosphate, in particular a primary ammonium phosphate, sodium phosphate or potassium phosphate provides high photosensitivity, a long shelf life and a low tendency to stick. It is suitable in particular for producing planographic printing plates giving a large number of prints.
