ABREGE DESCRIPTIF L'invention concerne une composition cosmétique photostable pour la protection contre les rayons UV de longueurs d'ondes comprises entre 280 et 400 nm, contenant une quantité efficace d'un dérivé d'éthylrutine choisi parmi la tétrahydroxyéthylrutine et la morpholinoéthylrutine, dans un milieu aqueux ou hydroalcoolique cosmétiquement accepta- ble. Le dérivé d'éthylrutine est avantageusement associé à un filtre UV-B ou UV-A connu. La composition selon l'inven- tion est utile notamment en tant que composition antisolaire pour la peau, composition protectrice des cheveux ou compo- sition cosmétique stabilisée à la lumière.
