The present invention relates to a series of novel phthalocyanine compositions (or compounds) suitable for use as photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy. Specifically, the invention relates to a series of new aluminum (A1) and/or silicon (Si) phthalocyanines having substituted amine or quaternary ammonium axial ligands attached to the central metal, and the use of these new phthalocyanine compositions for the treatment of cancer through photosensitization. Moreover, the present invention is directed to the methods of preparing these compositions for use in photodynamic therapy.
La présente invention concerne une série de nouvelles compositions (ou composés) de phtalocyanines utilisables comme photosensibilisants pour une thérapie photodynamique. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne une série de nouvelles phtalocyanines d'aluminium (Al) et/ou de nouvelles phtalocyanines du silicum (Si) ayant des ligands axiaux substitués constitués d'amines ou d'ammonium quaternaire, fixés au métal central. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de ces nouvelles compositions de phtalocyanines dans le traitement du cancer par photosensibilisation. En outre, la présente invention concerne des procédés de préparation de ces compositions pour une utilisation en thérapie photodynamique.
