ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Storage-stable aqueous compositions containing dissolv- ed water-soluble methanesulfonic acid addition salts or mixed methanesulfonic acid-hydrochloric acid addition salts of poly(amino- methylated) metal phthalocyanines, which are prepared by the inter- action of methanesulfonic acid and poly(aminomethylated) metal phthalocyanines, are useful for direct dyeing, particularly the dyeing of cellulose. Said acid addition salts and the preparation of said salts and storage-stable compositions are also the subject of the invention.
