Physically and/or chemically setting binders are modified by fats, in particular esters of fatty acids or fatty alcohols, specially triglycerides of higher fatty acids, preferably natural fats and oils. They may be added in high concentrations to the binders, in particular synthetic polymers such as homo- and co-polyvinylacetate, without neutralising their binding properties. Their admixture improves wetting properties, water resistance and above all hardness. In particular dispersion glues, hot-melt-type glues and glue sticks may be improved with these binders.

L'invention concerne des liants à prise physique et/ou chimique modifiés par des matières grasses, notamment des esters d'acides gras ou d'alcools gras, plus particulièrement des triglycérides des acides gras supérieurs, de préférence des graisses et des huiles naturelles. Elles peuvent être ajoutées en concentrations élevées aux liants, notamment des polymères synthétiques tels que l'homopoly(acétate de vinyle) et le copoly(acétate de vinyle) sans neutraliser leurs propriétés de liaison. Leur adjonction améliore les propriétés de mouillage, la résistance à l'eau et surtout la dureté. Ces liants sont surtout utiles pour améliorer des colles à dispersion, des colles à fusion et des bâtons de colle.
