The invention relates to a toothbrush comprising: .cndot. a support member of the handle type; .cndot. at least one brushing member mounted to rotate on said support member about an axis of rotation (X-X'), and having a side surface that extends between a proximal end facing towards the support member, and an opposite, distal end, and that is designed to be brought into contact with the teeth for the purpose of cleaning them; and .cndot. a physiological retractor (10) covering said side surface in part so as to protect the mucous membranes; .cndot. said toothbrush being characterized in that, facing the side surface of the brushing member (3), the physiological retractor (10) has a retraction portion (15).

- L'invention concerne une brosse à dents comprenant : - un organe de support, de type manche, - au moins un organe de brossage monté mobile à rotation sur ledit organe de support, autour d'un axe (X-X') et présentant une surface latérale qui s'étend entre une extrémité proximale, orientée vers l'organe de support, et une extrémité distale opposée, et qui est destinée à être amenée au contact des dents pour en assurer le nettoyage, - un écarteur physiologique (10) recouvrant en partie ladite surface latérale de sorte à protéger les muqueuses, ladite brosse à dents étant caractérisée en ce que l'écarteur physiologique (10) comprend, en vis-à-vis de la surface latérale de l'organe de brossage (3), une portion d'écartement (15). -Brosses à dents.
