A physiological sensor device for attachment to a mammalian subject including first and second regions of sensors (20, 22) attachable to a subject in use. First and second regions of sensors are separated by a flexible web (24, 28) adapted to enable variable separation of the first and second sensor regions from one another in use. The physiological sensor device is manufactured by forming a strip of electrically conductive material on a flexible electrically non-conductive substrate, cutting a slot through both the flexible substrate and the conductive strip to define a pair of adjacent edges of conductive material separated by a non-conductive gap, thereby also to define adjacent electrode sensors (30, 32, 34) each having one of the pair of adjacent edges formed in the strip of conductive material. The physiological sensor device is attached to the subject for measurement of numerous physiological parameters for a period of time, such as 24 hours, and then is thrown away.
Ce dispositif à capteurs de caractères physiologiques, destiné à être fixé sur un sujet mammifère, comprend des première et seconde régions de capteurs (20, 22) que l'on peut fixer sur le sujet. Ces première et seconde régions de capteurs sont séparées par une membrane flexible (24, 28) conçue pour permettre une séparation variable entre ces première et seconde régions, lors de l'utilisation du dispositif. On fabrique ce dispositif à capteurs de caractères physiologiques en formant une bande d'un matériau électroconducteur sur un substrat souple non électroconducteur et en découpant une fente à travers le substrat et la bande, afin de définir une paire de bords adjacents de matériau conducteur, séparés par un espace non conducteur, de manière à définir des capteurs à électrodes adjacentes (30, 32, 34) présentant chacun une paire de bords adjacents formés dans la bande de matériau conducteur. On attache ce dispositif à capteurs de caractères physiologiques sur un sujet, afin de mesurer divers paramètres physiologiques, pendant une certaine période, par exemple pendant 24 heures, puis on jette ce dispositif.
