A powered brush for picking debris such as goose excreta from the ground includes a wheeled frame arranged for attachment by arms to a tractor. A rotary brush is mounted substantially horizontally across the frame and rotates in a direction so that the bristles cause material to be lifted from the ground upwardly and over the axle of the brush. A pivotal lid extends over the axle for directing the material to the rear of the axle and a receptacle is arranged generally parallel to the axle for receiving the material. The pivotal lid includes a hinge in front of the brush and extends over the top of the brush and over the receptacle to a depending guide wall behind the receptacle. The receptacle comprises a plurality of individual plastics containers arranged at spaced positions across the brush and carried on a pair of parallel support rails across the frame.
