ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pickup cartridge comprises a magnetic circuit having an air gap, a coil wound on the magnetic circuit and a cantilever having a permanent magnet inserted in to the air gap. In this case, the magnetic circuit comprises a delta-shaped jointless core having the air gap at its vertical angle, and the coil is inserted through the air gap and fixed to the core.
