PICTURE DISPLAY FRAME AND BACKING ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A display unit for various types of pictures embodies a marginal ornamental frame and an interior smaller picture display frame having rear guide rail means for a picture and a stiff picture backing plate. The intervening area between the marginal and interior frames is filled by a hardboard panel interconnecting the two frames fixedly and providing a permanent mat or border for various pictures which may be displayed in the unit. The artist can imme- diately determine how his creation will appear when comple- mented by a frame.
