The invention concerns a thick piece produced from a photodegradable thermoplastic material at least 100 µm thick, the said material comprising a polyolefin matrix, at least one colourant giving the matrix an initial colour, and a photodegrading agent for the polyolefin matrix, the said photodegrading agent comprising at least one photoinitiator and one ligand; the colourant comprises at least one phototransformable colourant of which the phototransformation results in (a) a modification visible to the naked eye of the initial colouration and (b) an increase in relative transparency under ultraviolet light, the modification (a) being more rapid that the increase in transparency (b), as a result of which the phototransformation of the colourant(s) commences before the photodegradation of the polyolefin matrix.
L'invention concerne une pièce épaisse obtenue à partir d'un matériau thermoplastique photodégradable et présentant une épaisseur d'au moins 100 µm, ledit matériau comprenant une matrice polyoléfinique, au moins un agent colorant conférant à la matrice une couleur initiale, et un agent photodégradant de ladite matrice polyoléfinique, ledit agent photodégradant comprenant au moins un agent photoamorceur et un ligand ; l'agent colorant comprend au moins un colorant phototransformable dont la phototransformation conduit à la fois à (a) une modification visible à l'oeil nu de la coloration initiale et à (b) un gain en transparence relative vis-à-vis de la lumière ultra-violette, la modification (a) étant plus rapide que le gain en transparence (b), moyennant quoi la phototransformation du ou des colorants débute avant la photodégradation de la matrice polyoléfinique.
