In the past ten years, there have been many scientific and mathematical papers written on the properties of space-time and linear dimensions of sub-atomic scales in the order of, 10-33cm. This domain is currently known as the "zero point energy" plenum, and theory suggests that our familiar Cartesian coordinates, x,y,z, do not exist at this Planck length. The classic Lorentz equation describes our familiar world as; x2 + y2 + z2 - ct2 = 0 in the van der Waals domain. At the Planck length of 10-33 cm, this equation approaches its' inversion as; ct2 - x2 - y2 - z2 = 0 in the ZPE domain. In this domain, any wave would behave as a particle with finite mass, inertia, and perhaps electric charge. A pressure wave, or phonon, travelling through the van der Waals domain in conventional solids, liquids or gases, loses its' energy as it propogates through the medium, dissipating its' energy as a function of time and distance. This energy is consistent with the generation of heat and obeys the 2nd law of thermodynamics. If a propogating phonon could approach the ZPE boundary at the forementioned value, its' energy would remain constant and would now become a soliton wave at this boundary. This soliton wave will behave as a particle with finite mass at the ZPE boundary, with no loss of energy as would be expected with a conventional particle interracting with its' medium of propogation. The transition between the van der Waals domain, and the ZPE domain is assumed to be non-linear and not clearly defined.
