Patent

CA 2320011

A piezoelectric motor (PM) containing a piezoelectric element in the form of a body of rotation with electrodes and the direction of polarization for the excitation of radial oscillation modes and resilient pusher plates acoustically joined with one end to the external portion of the piezoelectric element, and with the other end resiliently pressed against the cylindrical body surface which is the surface of frictional interaction between the rotor and the stator of the motor, with the said pusher plates made in the form of two or three strips, one of which we shall designate as the strap, positioned in a way that lets the said pusher plates form a flat L-shape or Channel-shape during their manufacture, with the said pusher plates pressed with the said strap acoustically to the external portion of the piezoelectric element by means of a clamping device embracing the said piezoelectric element and the said strap of each of the pusher plates.
