ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A piezoelectric resonator has a holder location for accommodating a pair of piezoelectric resonating elements. An output terminal is provided at one of the locations for electrode contact with an output on one of the elements, an input terminal is provided at the other location for contacting an input electrode on the other element and a common terminal extends to both locations for contacting other electrodes on the two elements. By disconnecting the common terminal from one or both of the other terminals, the resonator can be readily adapted to receive one or both of the elements in the holder.
