TITLE OF THE INVENTION: Piezoelectric Tuning Fork ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: In a piezoelectric tuning fork of the type which is used as an electro-mechanical filter wherein a tuning fork upon which are mounted piezoelectric transducers is used as a resonator, a supporting member which is extended upright from a terminal plate consists of an upper portion which is welded or otherwise joined securely to the base of the tuning fork, a lower portion which is engaged with the terminal plate and an intermediate portion between the upper and lower portions which is reduced in cross section as compared with the remaining portion. A vibration isolation or absorbing member not only surrounds the intermediate portion of the supporting member but also is filled into the space between the supporting member and its mounting hole in the terminal plate, whereby the generation of noise due to the transmission of external vibrations or shocks may be suppressed to a minimum. - 1 -
